FAQ

Questions

Should couples split expenses 50/50?

It depends on you. Many couples split shared costs evenly; others split in proportion to income, for example 60/40, so each pays a similar share of what they earn. Koti supports both: even splits, or exact amounts for each person.

How do we split 60/40 in Koti?

Choose Custom when you add the expense and type each share, for example 3,000 and 2,000 for 5,000 MAD of rent. Koti checks the shares add up to the total.

Can my partner see all my spending?

No. Koti only holds the shared expenses you add to your home. Your bank accounts and personal spending stay private.

Can we also use Koti with our roommates?

Each person belongs to one home at a time. If you live with roommates, put everyone in the same home; you can still split some expenses between just the two of you with a custom split.

Is Koti free?

Yes. Koti is free during the beta, with no ads.
